The Merlin Beach Resort Phuket is fantastic if you're looking for a family friendly resort, located close to Patong beach, but far enough away to enjoy the quieter side of Patong.

The Merlin has been re-branded as the Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa Merlin Beach.

This Five star absolute beachfront resort is located on the beautiful and secluded Tri Trang Beach, just 3 kilometres south of Patong Beach. 

The Merlin Beach Resort is situated on a large block of land amongst tropical gardens and palms trees.

The location of the Merlin Beach Resort is perfect for a relaxing family vacation or a romantic getaway in Phuket. Taking into consideration the absolute beachfront location the room rates are reasonably priced.

With over 400 rooms and suites, the Marriott Merlin Beach Resort has a room to suit all travellers.

The rooms are rather spacious, and have been nicely updated since it was taken over by the Marriott.

Most of the rooms have pool views or pool access, beach views or beach access.

If you're traveling with the kids, there is interconnecting rooms available throughout the resort as well as facilities for disabled guests.

Travel Tips

The Resort provides a free shuttle bus service for their guests to travel in and out of Patong, throughout the day.

There is a Family Mart and a couple of restaurants close by the Merlin Beach Resort, that serve good food, and are much cheaper then the restaurants at the resort.

The closest restaurant is located just up the stairs on the left hand side of the beach.

The other restaurant that we frequented was called the Windsurf Restaurant, located on Tri Tra Beach only a short walk from the resort,  unfortunately the restaurant is no longer there.

The beachfront location of the Merlin Beach Resort Phuket on Tri Trang Beach is the perfect location for a beach wedding in Phuket.
